Upcoming Packages of Pan Borneo Highway to Be Launched

As the Pan Borneo Highway continues to be in works, the Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin has announced that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob will be launching four project packages along the Kinabatangan-Telupid route which is expected to happen this Saturday.


According to Bung the project will be focusing on the repair work of frequent damages that happen along the Mile 32, Sandakan to Telupid and Kinabatangan, announcing that the assigned contractors for these projects have recently been appointed.



These projects are namely, WP15, WP28, WP29, and WP30.



The minister added that there are five project packages in total to be launched soon. Bung told The Borneo Post that the first four project packages will immediately begin after Saturday’s launching and are expected to complete by 2024.



While the remaining package is expected to launch next year following the Twelfth Malaysia Plan(12MP) allocation.



The fifth package is said to be located on the route connecting Serusop, Tuaran and Pituru, Kota Belud.
