Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developer Association (SHAREDA) held their Annual General Meeting on 23rd March 2019 to elect new council members. Chew Sang Hai has been re-elected as the President of SHAREDA for this term (2019 - 2021).

During the press conference, Chew Sang Hai expressed his aspiration to further enhance SHAREDA'S relationship with the government. He announced that SHAREDA has been selected as one of the associations to accompany the Chief Minister of Sabah this coming April as the state delegation group for an investment tour to Shenzhen, China.

He also thanked the government for revising the 30% Bumiputera lots quota policy which previously had to be pre-selected to a more flexible policy without lots pre-selection. Such move will enable flexibility in developer sales, as well as allowing Bumiputera buyers to benefit from the potential capital growth. Chew Sang Hai informed that SHAREDA will be putting more effort to continue promote Home Ownership Campaign 2019, which was launched by the government by allocating RM 40,000 on advertising campaign
