Chew Sang Hai
Three-decade long career in the property development industry on the principles of loyalty, diligence and obligation
Chew Sang Hai is the President of Sabah Housing And Real Estate Developers Association (SHAREDA) for 2017-2019 cum the Chairman of Sub-Committee for Policies, Regulations & Economic Affairs and Infrastructure & Utilities. He is also a Chartered Builder by profession and a corporate member of Chartered Institute of Building (U.K.).
He is reelected as the President of SHAREDA, extending his term for another 2 years.
Chew Sang Hai is also the Executive Director and Shareholder of Grand Merdeka Development Sdn Bhd, the developer for Grand Merdeka in Menggatal, Kota Kinabalu which is an integrated commercial mixed development with GDV of RM1.2 Billion. He runs the business together with his daughter, Emily Chew, who is the General Manager for Grand Merdeka Development Sdn Bhd.
He accumulated a total GDV of RM550 million in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for the past 23 years in different types of properties such as luxury high rise condominiums; high rise office towers; commercial complexes including retail and industrial centres. One of his better known project is Wisma Merdeka, one of the first malls in KK.
Chew Sang Hai has achieved and contributed so much for the real estate development in Sabah with SHAREDA under his reign. We take a look at some of his achievements in the past years.

Chew Sang Hai's achievement in the first-quarter of 2019
With the launch of Home Ownership Campaign 2019 earlier this year, SHAREDA and Property Hunter co-organized an expo for home-buyers in Sabah. This joint effort turns out a success, the expo was held on 1st to 3rd of March.
