The First Virtual Property Expo Was a Success

The free accessibility of Sabah’s first Virtual Property Expo, which focuses on Sabah real estate, has gotten positive feedback online from the public, for allowing them to meet with property developers, bankers, and a legal counsel from the comfort of their homes.

Apart from the availability of contact numbers for WhatsApp or telephone engagement with sales consultants of property projects, bankers, and a legal advisor, online chatbox real-time interactions are performance indicators to measure digital marketing and personalisation effectiveness in digital marketing navigation experienced by the public during the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

This event aimed to assist homebuyers in purchasing their first home, investing in or upgrading their existing homes, as well as other property offers, in keeping with the economic recovery plan to stimulate the property market.

“This is the best time to own a property as there are many opportunities in the market, which include the reintroduction of Home Ownership Campaign paired with low-interest rates,” a banker emphasised.

Organized over two days on 7 and 8 August by Azmianz Allianz Sdn Bhd, the event featured the marketing acceptance model for digital marketing strategy and the capacity-building for the local real estate business as well as supporting banking and legal firms services to increase public awareness. Azmianz Allianz Sdn Bhd plans to launch strategic partnership programmes to fully digitise the sales and marketing of all property projects on exhibit at the event.

Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (SHAREDA) and media partner Daily Express and Overseas Chinese Daily News supported the opening event, which provides clientele partners with unprecedented access to regular and underserved audiences, as well as to assist consumers in making informed property purchase decisions, and to encourage digitisation of the real estate ecosystem.

In view of Malaysia's desire to become one of the major contributors to the growth of properties in the Asia Pacific region, we need a more modern, smart and sustainable digital marketing technique, which will enable the market to become more globalised. This can encourage additional investment in the real estate market, balance sales, and show potential clients a positive image of the market.

The 1st Sabah Virtual Property Expo was attended by real estate exhibitors such as Hap Seng Properties Development, Asian Pac Holdings Bhd, K.K.I.P Sdn Bhd, Golden Wave Sdn Bhd, Khazanah Jaya Sdn Bhd, Legacy Group Development, Mega City Avenue Sdn Bhd, MG Property, North Borneo Land Avenue, Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia, S P Setia Bhd, Shellstown Development Sdn Bhd, Sinaland Sdn Bhd, Suria Group and the VTS Group, commercial banks such as AmBank (M) Bhd, Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad, Bank Rakyat, Bank Simpanan Nasional, CIMB Bank Berhad, and Malayan Banking Berhad have lent their support. Additional supporters were property consultants, Serena Liew & Associates legal firm and My Life Hope (MM2H) Sdn Bhd.

The way consumers explore properties has swiftly altered as a result of Covid-19, and many are now embracing virtual tours and digital tools to complete deals. This is the first Sabah Virtual Property Expo, which highlights local initiatives to digitise the property market in order to empower consumers while protecting their health and safety.
