Duty Free Jesselton Mall to House Big Lifestyle Brands

Jesselton Mall, a small duty-free mall located in Jesselton Residence, has obtained its OC last year and will see it housing high-end brands.

Valiram Group, Southeast Asia's leading luxury good and 360° retail specialists will be making its mark into Sabah's market, bring in 12 high end brands namely, Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Polo Ralph Lauren, Swarovski, Swiss Watch Gallery, Tory Burch, Tumi, Versace, Wear + When, Godiva and TWG Tea. Established in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1935, the Group originally specialised in textile trading. Today, they have presences in Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Philippines, Thailand, Russia, Macau and Vietnam.

The Group also owns retail lots in Singapore's Resort World Sentosa, Kuala Lumpur's Pavilion, Gardens and KLCC. High end retail businesses in Kuala Lumpur International Airport 1 and 2 are also wholly owned by them.

"Jesselton Mall will be the only high-end mall in KK which Chinese tourists and locals are looking for," said Tan Sri David Chu, Executive Chairman of Jesselton Waterfront Holdings. He added that the mall will house a myriad of high-end lifestyle brands, food and beverage outlets and fashion names.

Dubbed to be the next Bangsar Shopping Centre of Kota Kinabalu, Tan Sri David said the mall will be a shopping paradise for the Chinese tourist. The mall is expected to open its doors to the public in December 2018.

Jesselton Mall is integrated with Jesselton Residences, which is developed by Palikota Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Jesselton Waterfront Holdings Sdn Bhd.

Vinci Construction Grands Projects Sdn Bhd, the world's largest construction company was appointed as the main contractor for this development project.

The waterfront mixed development consists of 333 condominium units and three levels of high-end premium mall with 123 boutique retails lots in total.

Soaring at 28 storeys high, the basement, ground and first floors open as a premium boutique lifestyle mall, whilst the second and sixth floors serve as an exclusive car park area for residents.
