Beauty consultant turned into a real estate agent. Julie Rivera from Propnex Sabah believes everyone can be their own boss. Here’s her story.

How long have you been in real estate and what is your background?

I have been in this real estate for about 5 months now. Previously, I had been working in the beauty industry as a beauty consultant. 

What made you want to be in real estate?

Due to the pandemic, getting a job in the beauty industry is not as easy as before. That’s when I decided to join real estate as I have been interested in it from before.

What are some of your proudest moments in your real estate career?

Since I joined this industry, I have managed to close 8 deals up to today. In February 2022, I managed to hit 5th place in Top Project Transactor of the month. Which is quite a positive result for me since I had zero experience in this industry.

If you could go back in time, what do you wish you knew about the industry sooner? 

This industry is the best platform for everyone who is looking for a professional long run career and wishes to be their own boss.

What is the worst real estate advice you ever heard?

Houses are expensive and very hard to sell later.

What is the best advice you could give a client or a friend in real estate?

The right time to buy a property is always NOW. Based on your needs and wants. If all conditions are met, then you should buy NOW.
