In some situations, parents have begun to migrate from East Malaysia to West Malaysia in order to be closer to their children.
Some also move to look after their pre-schooling grandkids at home while their parents work.
While some elders have sold their homes in Sabah and relocated to West Malaysia to spend their golden years with their working children or grandchildren, others have used the proceeds from the sale of their Sabah houses or lands to invest in or purchase another property in West Malaysia.
