Gamuda Land's Bukit Bantayan Residences Ties Up With Seven Retailers

"Getting the places right make the town work" is an ideal imbued in parts of Gamuda Land's town-making principals and evidently imparted onto all its developments.

Staying true to it, Gamuda Land's high rise development Bukit Bantayan Residences in East Malaysia is reaching new heights. Setting off the celebration high up in the air in conjunction with the official opening of two new show units, the developer today inked Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with seven retailers, locking in convinces for the homeowners in advance. The partners comprise of several sectors, namely F&B, childcare, groceries and services.

Prioritising the community's convenience

Gamuda Land's General Manager of Bukit Bantayan Residences, Cheo Yuan Ping, is confident that the development is on track for delivery. "What truly differentiates Gamuda Land's developments is our mindful planning. We work ahead by bringing all the components together thoughtfully and locking down good partnerships in advance to activate the home place, eating place, play place, park place and shopping place. In the case of Bukit Bantayan Residences, it is about securing the access to daily necessities and conveniences which residents can enjoy soon as they move in."

The developer today welcomed Bess, Xiang Xiang, Superteddy, Crack Inc, Soapy Laundry, 7 Circle Convenience Store and Damn Good Burger, which took up 50 per cent tenancy of Curve 25, the retail segment of Bukit Bantayan Residences. It is also in talks with more retailers to ensure a good mix of comprehensive retail services.

Bringing people together

Present at the officiating ceremony was YB Kenny Chua Teck Ho, Assemblyman and Assistant Minister of Finance Sabah. While seeing is believing, he commended Gamuda Land for taking into consideration and delivering proactive effort in community building creatively. "I am impressed by Gamuda Land's placemaking, where the shops are mindfully laid out at the podium level (Curve 25) to encourage better community interaction in these public spaces to improve the overall wellbeing of the community.

Comprising of 25 units of shops and located at the podium level that houses wellness facilities such as swimming pool, gymnasium, multipurpose hall and more, Curve 25 is part of Gamuda Land's plane making initiative to reinvent public spaces into community places that bring people together. This retail component of Bukit Bantayan Residences serves to create a conducive platform for neighbours to get to know one another, live and play together and ultimately form a tight-knit community.

Echoing Kenny's remarks, Cheo explained that the developer, backed by over two decades of town-making experience, holds a strong belief that a town is a community. Built with that in mind, and in respect of nature, Bukit Bantayan Residences converges services, connectivity, infrastructure, landscapes and soft scapes. Placemaking is the key towards the Coexistence of all these aspects, balancing nature, community, modernity and convenient living.
