OYO Hotels, South Asia’s largest and world’s fastest growing chain of hotels, homes and living spaces, has cemented its position in Malaysia by opening two new hotels namely OYO 498 D&F Boutique Hotel in Senawang, Nwergri Sembilan and OYO 502 Midah Inn in Puchong, Selangor.
The company is now setting the bar high in Malaysia as it targets huge growth potential in 2019.
“We onboard existing hotel properties on an exclusive inventory basis in a tech-based franchise setup, and then takes on complete 360-degree ownership of the end-to-end customer experience in properties, right from the search and booking process to in-room amenities, service-delivery and check out,” said OYO Hotels Malaysia head of business development Ryan Yong in a statement.
“Our aim is simple: to build OYO properties in just about every nook and cranny in Malaysia so that anyone and everyone can have easy access to an OYO property anytime, anywhere and at very, very affordable rates.”
Rasah Member of Parliament Cha Kee Chin commended the firm’s ingenuity in opening branches in places that were not deemed as very commercial.
“The opening of OYO 498 D&F Boutique Hotel certainly marks a step in the right direction towards the growth of the economy and development of Senawang and its greater vicinity.
“Once known as a small satellite township, this area has certainly grown in leaps and bounds in recent times and tandem with this growth. We certainly hope other property developers and business owners will take a cue from OYO Hotels and consider setting up shop here,” Cha said.
Located in the industrial and commercial center in Senawang, OYO 498 D&F Boutique hotel offers nightly rooms at rates starting at RM70.
This is aimed at drawing occupancy derived from business and out-of-town travelers given the booming industry and commerce in the vicinity, known for the manufacturing of semiconductors, electronic parts, heavy industries and more.
OYO 502 Midah Inn, with rooms starting at RM65 per night, is set in the 52-acre development of Puchong Gateway.
OYO Hotels currently operates over 150 properties across all major cities in Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Johor, and Melaka.
