Leading property developer Riverson Corporation Sdn Bhd made a welfare outreach visit to Kampung Takalung, Kota Belud on Saturday (Jan 27) handing out shoeboxes containing school supplies and personal care items to some 220 students from impoverished families at Sekolah Kebangsaan Lasau Podi. "The contribution is part of our corporate social responsibility towards the less privileged segment of society, " said a company spokesman. The team handed out the goodies to the delight of the children and then engaged them in fun games rounding up with a simple lunch. The charity event was in collaboration with two local NGOs, namely Persatuan Harmoni Mesra Sabah and Hopes Malaysia Welfare Association, both of which are involved in humanity improvement programmes. Riverson Corporation is the developer of the iconic Riverson @ Sembulan, a mixed-used property incorporating a Lifestyle Mall, deluxe office suits and Soho residences together with the Gleneagles Hospital.
