KUALA LUMPUR: My First Home Financing Scheme (MyDeposit) will be open for online registration on Friday, 15 December until Feb 15 next year.
Deputy Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Halimah Sadique said those interested could register via https://sprn.kpkt.gov.my.
"For next year, the government has allocated RM25 million for the implementation of MyDeposit.
"From April 7 last year until October this year, there were 6,298 applications with 1,469 approved, involving more than RM39 million" said Halimah during a question-and-answer session in Dewan Negara on Thursday, 14 December.
Halimah was responding to a question from Senator Datuk Abidullah Salleh on the MyDeposit scheme.
The scheme was launch by the government on April 6 last year and it is aimed at helping the M40 group with a monthly household income of between RM3,000 and RM10,000.
Successful recipients will receive a 10 percent down payment of the house price or a maximum of RM30,000 for properties below RM500,000.
