Borneo's Largest Car Show to Be Held at Aeropod Commercial Square

Some 580 imported cars and 6,000 visitors are expected to make their way to Aeropod Commercial Square for the 2nd Borneo Imports Meet, which will be held from 24 - 26 November 2017.

With the theme 'Gather Below the Wind', this event is organised by AF & Crew and Plug Point Creatives Sdn Bhd as the co-organiser.

AF & Crew's founder, Mr Alan Fung said that the event is dubbed as the biggest car meet in Borneo, adding that the 580 participants will come from West Malaysia, Japan and Hong Kong.

During the event, various types of imported cars namely JDMs, Continentals, 4x4s and Classics will be showcased throughout the 3-day event. There will a total of 3 levels of parking spaces for participants to park their cars.

The purpose of Borneo Imports Meet isn't just to gather car enthusiasts, he said. Visitors will be able to get insights on car care, car safety, the do's and don'ts on car accessories and much more.

Amongst the official sponsors and partners for this event are S P Setia Berhad, Sabah Tourism Board, Hyatt Regency Kinabalu, Property Hunter, Mega Boogie, Grab, Warrior Energy Drink, YOLO Photobooth, PTT Lubricants, Phillips 66 Lubricants, Peugeot, KMC, OZ Racing and Sparco.

Grab will be offering 6 trips with a maximum RM5 discount during the 3-day event. Their goal is to create a seamless ride-hailing experience for the fans of Borneo Imports Meet. The promo code, GRABBIM17, will be available from 24 - 26 November 2017.

Apart from showcasing the cars, there will also be stalls and food trucks for visitors to enjoy. "We have a line up of various fun activities, workshops, talks, games, contests, lucky draws and performances from our home-grown talents, DJ Rachel B and DJ Jerone Paul," says Alan. He added that there will also be a special guest appearance by local artists from the locally produced movie, 'KL Wangan'.

Alan hopes to gain the continuous support and encouragement from the State Government through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment, DBKK and Sabah Tourism Board for years to come.
