More Affordable Housing to Be Built

Leading developer Rich Worldwide Sdn Bhd will construct another 68 units of affordable double storey terrace house under Phase Two of Taman Jati.

The project is located close to Phase One of Taman Jati off Mile 7 Jalan Airport and is now open for registration. It is expected to be launched this April, Rich Worldwide Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Victor Wong Chet Sing said on Tuesday, February 14.

The Phase Two terrace houses are more spacious and have a gross built up from 1,258 square feet and priced from RM316,350 to RM423,000 with five per cent discount for Bumiputera buyers. The first 20 persons to register for Phase Two are entitled to the early bird specials when they signed the S & P Agreement, Wong said.

Wong said there is also a number of primary and schools near and around Taman Jati and it is 15 minutes' drive to the town centre, only five minutes to the Sandakan Airport and Sejati Walk with GentingMas Mall a mere seven-minute walk away.

Malaysians who are buying their first home can apply for the Government's First Home Deposit Funding Scheme (MyDeposit) which offers a 10% incentive on the sale price or a maximum of RM30,000, whichever is lower, Wong said.

Another option for First Home owners to consider is the Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) Youth Housing Scheme which provides financing up to 100% for the eligible applicant, said Wong.

The scheme which is exclusively for married youth aged 25 to 40 years old who are purchasing their first property, household income not exceeding RM 10,000 per month, MRTA/MRTT financing up to 5% of the purchase price, RM 200 monthly financing aid from the government towards installment for 24 months and 50% stamp duty exemption, Wong said.

"Taman Jati house owners will receive their Occupancy Certificate and Title Deed during the handing over of house keys" Wong said.

Those who are interested in owning an affordable double storey terrace house at Taman Jati, can contact 089 27 6633 or 089 27 6677 for enquiries, Wong said.

Also present at the media conference was Rich Worldwide Sdn Bhd chairman Datuk Kong Kwok Wah.
