Collaboration Announcement of Hard Rock Cafe and Soft Opening of Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel at Genting Highlands

In a move set to drive tourism while expanding its luxury hospitality presence, award-winning property developer NCT Alliance has entered into a collaboration with Hard Rock International that will see Asia Pacific’s highest altitude Hard Rock Cafe located on the highest floor of NCT Alliance’s Grand Ion Majestic development arm, Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel in Genting Highlands.


The company announced that the new Hard Rock Cafe, boasting approximately 5,000 square feet of space, complete with a luxurious pool and pool bar on the 50th and highest floor, a world-class entertainment experience coupled with luxury accommodations in one of Malaysia’s most popular tourist destinations.



“We hope that we will also soon be able to claim a spot for our brand in the clouds and make it the highest Hard Rock Cafe in Asia Pacific!” Stated Malcom Chao, Area Vice President of Asia Pacific for Hard Rock International.



With a total gross development value of RM1.6 billion, Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel’s first phase is slated for a soft opening in the second quarter of this year. The tallest building in Genting Highlands, this 5-star establishment integrates hotel, dining and retail spaces at 6,000 feet above sea level, with sweeping views.



At the media event held at Menara NCT Gallery Hall, Dato’ Sri Yap Ngan Choy, Executive Chairman and Group Managing Director of NCT Alliance, said, “Our vision was to set a new benchmark in luxury hospitality by creating an incredible experience for visitors to Genting Highlands. Additional retail space of approximately 178000 square feet will be created to enhance this travel destination at Genting Highlands.”



“With the new addition of Hard Rock Cafe and the opening of Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel at Genting Highlands signifies a monumental achievement for us, as this development will be the crown jewel in our property portfolio. Accomplishing this ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026, by elevating the offerings in an undoubtedly a thriving location that draws a high number of local and foreign visitors annually, will further boost the Malaysia’s tourism sector and spur the domestic economy.”



The Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel is set against the lush rainforest backdrop of the Banjaran Titiwangsa, treating its guests to the magnificent convergence of the sky, earth and sea of clouds. It has 850 meticulously crafted rooms on 50 floors, ranging from cozy studio rooms to expansive elegant suites, with a range of facilities to meet every need. Located within close proximity to Genting Skyway and Genting Highlands Premium Outlets, the property is only 4KM away to Genting Skyworlds Theme Park and SkyAvenue.

The hotel has already distinguished itself with four Malaysia Book of Records.



Among these are Highest Altitude Glasshouse, an architectural marvel known as the Sky Glass Pyramid, poised to redefine destination weddings. The hotel also boasts the Highest Altitude Largest Vertical Glass Banquet Hall in Asia for MICE, which can hold up to 1500 guests at a time.
