Venturing into the real estate industry took more than a leap of faith for Chung. Here's his story.

How long have you been in real estate and what is your background?

I joined Azmi & Co Estate Agency in 2020. So I have been in this industry for 2 years. Prior to that, I was working as a Financial Consultant in banking.

What made you want to be in real estate?

I want to help people to get their dream house according to their budget. People can start off by buying a small house and then subsequently upgrade to a better house.

What are some of the proudest moments in your real estate career?

I can proudly say the time I once helped a client get his dream house for his family. They were going to move to Miri and was looking for their dream home before to move. The trust he had granted me during the whole process of purchasing the house from applying for a loan to getting his key, is something I'll never be able to forget.

If you could go back in time, what do you wish you knew about the industry sooner?

I think if I could go back in time, I would like to meet my leader earlier to know more about this industry. I wished I had a leap of faith and courage then to venture into this industry.

What is the worst real estate advice  you ever heard?

"Wait for the correct time and price to buy a house". Of course, a house is a long-term investment, surely a client has to think about a lot of factors. However, property prices are going up year by year, if you can afford now, it doesn't mean you can afford it at later, especially when inflation spikes up.

What is the best advice you could give a client or a friend in real estate?

Integrity is important in real estate, people are putting their faith in us and putting their life savings and investments into the house they purchase.
