The main purpose of this MOA is to launch the Property Development Course that will be carried out by TAR UC. This course will provide the much-needed manpower for the property industry. It will also help in training the next generation of property developers.

This will not only create more job opportunities but will also help in the economic development of Sabah.

According to Professor Ir Dr Lee Sze Wei, President of TAR UC, this Property Developer Course will equip the public or practitioners with the required skill-sets that will better prepare them for the journey of property development.

The course will be conducted locally via a hybrid learning mode; that is by online platform or face-to-face in a conducive class environment provided by TAR UC.

“We can certainly look ahead towards greater progress and collaboration to contribute to the property development industry in the state of Sabah.”

SHAREDA President, Datuk Sr Chua Soon Ping added that the course will include critical components of property development, such as planning, housing developer and subsidiary title acts and regulations, real estate development appraisal and finance, measurement, procurement and contractual arrangement, real estate valuation and investment, as well as the design and development process for real estate development.

“Within the course, attendees will have a thorough understanding of how to minimise property and construction risks, leveraging finances, leveraging expertise and budgetary measures,” he stated.

The mentioned courses will have approximately 44 to 59 contact hours in total and will be conducted in a hybrid manner to adhere to and minimise COVID-19 infection rates, as well as accommodate attendees who currently have full-time professions.

SHAREDA will provide scholarships for those in government sectors and civil servants such as those in DBKK and Land and Surveying, to learn more about property.
