What's Going on at Lorong Dewan?

Despite the pandemic, over the past few months, a number of businesses have sprouted and bloomed along the street of Lorong Dewan - also known as "Australia Street". The most recent being The Art Attic, a curated art and lifestyle concept store for local artisans.

From carefully crafted furniture to homeware, fashion and even plants, The Art Attic has it all.

Among the other latest launches at Lorong Dewan is Flips, a South American/Borneo inspired restaurant and bar with speciality cocktails.

It's known for its rotating door that flips around, (hence the name "Flips"), beautiful interior design and experienced mixologists. Plans to expand to the second floor above are said to be in the works.

Next up, you will find a new branch of El Centro. A Mexican bar and restaurant are known for its "good vibes" and "killer cocktails". Next door is a "No Waste" store called The Crafty Peacock where you can find curated crafts, reusable products and refill stations.

A step down you will find a newly renovated Wine O'clock, a project designed by MOM Designer House that serves fine wines and spirits. Lastly, in place of what used to be a popular cafe called Woo, is also a new dessert and drinks cafe called Bee Co.

With a long history of being a hub for travellers and old print shops, Lorong Dewan is also home to other popular establishments including Mamacita, Biru Biru and The Nook Cafe. It is definitely a street worth visiting on a free afternoon for a little exploration.
