GuocoLand to Unveil Second Tower by Year-End
EMERALD 9, a mixed development at Cheras 9th Mile, is proof that more people are looking for contemporary, convenient and healthy lifestyle living. The development by GuocoLand Malaysia comprises residential towers, office spaces as well as urban street shops and courtyard clustered around green spaces.
The first residential tower, dubbed Bruce on9, was launched in May, with up to 80% of the 477 units being snapped up in one month. The one- to three-bedroom units, sized between 650 and 1,050 sq ft, sold from RM382,000.
GuocoLand Malaysia Executive Director Andy Chua said the company had planned to launch only Bruce on9 this year but has now decided to unveil the second residential tower by year-end.
“After seeing the overwhelming response from buyers to the first launch, we are now preparing to open the second residential tower for sales before year-end. Despite the current competitive market environment, we strive to continue to build contemporary residential and commercial developments that emphasise on good quality design and space.”
Chua said Emerald 9 showcases the company’s commitment to enriching the lifestyle and meeting the aspirations of buyers — to create a sustainable ecosystem that enhances value and improves living quality.
He added that the majority of the buyers were either single, married, or large families looking for a contemporary, convenient and healthy lifestyle.
“Cheras, being so close to the Kuala Lumpur city centre, made it a great place to be, but unfortunately it didn’t have the benefits of good quality developments. Therefore, we are committed to delivering our brand promise with both of our current developments in Cheras,” said Chua.
In Emerald 9, GuocoLand saw a fully integrated development with co-living and unique design concept that has great potential, he said.
Chua said once completed, the iconic integrated development with 48 fun and healthy facilities — the most in one single development — would become the epitome of contemporary living in Cheras.
Among the 48 facilities, there will five pools, shared kitchen for residents’ easy accessibility, jogging track, boxing pavilions, amphitheatre, sky communal lounge and cabana.
The company’s other project in Cheras, Emerald Hills, is a low-density residential development that sits amid hilly greens at the peak of Alam Damai with a calming central lake at its heart.
