NEW: World-Class KK Resort City to Be Built on Lok Kawi Island

A world class KK Resort City is set to be developed by Sunduvon Corporation Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of KTS Group, on an island in Lok Kawi. The resort will be launched on 2 May at 9 am.

Back in the 1990's, the developer group acquired land approximately 15 kilometers off the south of Kota Kinabalu in Lok Kawi. Since then, the land has transformed into an island by subsequent reclamation works and will now be used to develop a world-class vacation destination - KK Resort City.

The development is complemented by the upgraded 3 to 4 lanes dual carriageway highway, as well as key tourist amenities such as the KK International Airport, Putatan Town commercial centre and an unobstructed view of the world-class sunset.

It was reported that the Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Panglima Shafie Apdal, will be officiating the groundbreaking ceremony on 2 May at the site.

Federal and State cabinet ministers, deputy ministers, assistant ministers, members of parliaments, state assemblymen, government officers and community leaders are also expected to attend the event.

Sabah is already undeniably a major tourism player for Malaysia with it's iconic Mount Kinabalu and world-famous Sipadan Island. It's rich natural heritage, wildlife attractions and abundant marine life have earned the state a reputation as a tourism haven.

Kota Kinabalu, the state capital of Sabah, is poised to become a port city with mega developments on the cards. Coupled with the thriving tourism industry and robust business environment, the future is bright for the Land Below the Wind.
