Imago First Mall in Sabah to Achieve ISO9001:2015 Quality Manage Systems Status
Imago Shopping mall held its 3rd-anniversary celebration with a unique twist; honouring the best of the best tenants, partners and collaborators in various categories from Best Store Award to Popular Brand Awards. A Special Recognition Award was also given to their trusted partners and collaborators.
Imago has continued to improve and strengthen their services, becoming arguably the best shopping mall in East Malaysia and gaining two 5-Star International Property Award recognitions; Gold Award for Best Experiential Marketing from the Malaysia Shopping Malls Association and Best Shopping Mall in the Sabah Tourism Awards 2017.
"A mall is an ecosystem, with tenants and partners all coming together to make it work. Our success in becoming the best mall requires their full support and dedication. We recognise them and our 3rd-anniversary event, Exultation, is a testament to that belief as we celebrate our success together," said Dr. Raymond Yu Tat Loong, Executive Director of Asian Pac Holdings Berhad, the ultimate holding company of Imago.
Imago has created a difference in serving its community, such as initiating a charity programme in the form of a kids train ride, known as the "Hope Express", where a total amount of RM167,744 collected fares have been donated to charitable organizations. They have also created a baby nursing room, family toilets, mobile-device charging stations and modernised disabled facilities that are all free to the public.
Imago has also made what was previously a one-off cultural performance for Kaamatan into a permanent tourist attraction feature, where tourists get to see the traditional cultural dances and performances at certain hours during the mall operation.
"We are here to make a difference and to become a part of the community that we serve. It is not just our customers that we care about, we also care about our tenants' staff, where we have recently created a dedicated rest area for them," added Yu.
Imago is the first mall in Sabah to achieve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems status after going through 2 years of rigorous planning and execution and they will be formally be accredited in April 2018.
