With up to 57% of Malaysians keen on purchasing a property in the next six months, PropertyGuru created the “My Dream Home Campaign” contest with a cash prize of RM50,000 to assist Malaysians in their first hurdle, the down payment for their dream home.

“Whether it is for first time home buyers or upgraders, the “My Dream Home” Contest is aimed at helping Malaysians to afford a home,” said Sheldon Fernandez, Country Manager, PropertyGuru Malaysia.

The journey was an education to users on how to make an informed decision when purchasing a property, via learning through PropertyGuru’s Guides, Project Reviews, New Home Listings and New Launches.

31-year old family man, Muhammad Nor Hafidzi Mahat captured the imagination of the judges with his winning entry, to win RM50,000 cash for the property of his choice, Era@Duta North.

In his speech on how PropertyGuru played a hand in his property buying journey, Nor Hafidzi Mahat shared “With meticulous research through the PropertyGuru portal albeit with a limited budget, we shortlisted a few property picks based on location, price analysis, floor plans, facilities and developers’ background.”

“What drew us to Era@Duta North was the forest village lifestyle concept which includes a wetland sanctuary, tree house, several gardens, walking trails, and over 100 nature facilities.”

Also present was Executive Director, JKG Land, Mr Foh Meng Hua who proceeded to handover the RM50,000 cheque alongside Ryan Thoo, Head of Consumer Marketing, PropertyGuru Malaysia.

“It’s an honour for Era@Duta North to be spoken of so highly and is the property of choice.

“Merging both nature and urban concept was no easy feat, but we are confident of delivering a new concept in the way people live, work and play,” said Mr Foh Meng Hua, Executive Director of JKG Land at the prize giving ceremony.
