One must allow the impossible to be possible. And for Sabah boy Ben Kong, Managing Director of Riverson Corporation Sdn Bhd, he brought home something unexpected when he bagged the Grandeur Distinguished Man of the Year award on Friday, 12 January.

The gala award held at St Regis, Kuala Lumpur was attended by distinguished local and international guests such as Singapore actor and film director Jack Neo, inspiring social entrepreneur Jerryson Abraham Doss, Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Abd Samad Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, renowned Macau singer and actress Maria Cordero and Senator Datuk Seri Abdul Halim bin Abdul Samad.

The Grandeur International Business Award & The Elegante International Business Award, organized by Elegante Muse International, celebrates the 73 extraordinary gentlemen and 35 amazing ladies who have made a positive presence felt in their respective fields and inspired others along their paths in Malaysia. This platform of recognition is designed to be the launching pad for these individuals to scale higher in their respective fields.

A total of 108 awards were presented to the nominees of the Grandeur International Business category. Meanwhile, the Elegante International Business category recognized 35 women entrepreneurs. An official trophy, created and designed by Malaysia's largest pewter manufacturer and GIBAEIBA Strategic Partner, Royal Selangor, was awarded to the winners.
