Documentary on Pan-Borneo Sabah Highway Broadcasted

Bernama News Channel (BNC) broadcasted a special documentary on the Pan Borneo Sabah Highway today (Sunday).

The 30-minute documentary, which began at 4.30pm, showed the development of the first phase of the project which includes the construction of new routes, shortcuts and the upgrading of the existing 706km road.

Estimated to cost RM12.8 billion, the highway, which is supervised by Borneo Highway PDP Sdn Bhd, is expected to be completed in 2021.

The documentary featured exclusive interviews with several figures, including Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman, Sabah Infrastructure Development Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan and Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

Feedback is also collected from the business community and the people of Sabah, who really appreciate the project.

The construction of the highway is contained in the manifesto of Barisan Nasional led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in the 13th General Election, which is part of the highway development efforts in Sabah and Sarawak.

The documentary will be repeated at 11.30am next Monday, 9.30pm Tuesday, 2.30am Wednesday, 8.30am Thursday, 12.30am Friday and 6.30pm on Nov 11.
