Sunsuria Berhad ("Sunsuria”) and PRG Holdings Berhad ("PRG”), both Bursa Malaysia Main Market-listed companies are pleased to announce that via their respective subsidiaries, Sunsuria City Sdn Bhd (SCSB) and Premier Electrify Sdn Bhd ("PESB”) have today signed a Memorandum of Collaboration ("MOC”) that will see PRG to deploy Electric Vehicles ("EV”) Charging Stations within the area of Sunsuria City, Sepang, next to the Express Rail Link station. This is the first collaboration between both parties to contribute towards sustainable development and building a competitive green economy in Malaysia.

In conjunction with the signing ceremony, Sunsuria and PRG also launched the first functioning charging station equipped with Delta charger in Sunsuria City (beside its sales gallery), the inaugural move to accommodate the growing demand for electric cars in the country. The charging station is free for all EVs.

Speaking after the signing ceremony, PRG Managing Director of Property & Construction Dato' Alex Wee Cheng Kwan said: "Today's signing cements PRG's "Green Initiative” to promote sustainable mobility through alternative methods, including electric mobility. Ultimately, our goal is to create a sustainable traffic movement in Malaysia with a reliable EV Charging infrastructure. We are extremely pleased to have Sunsuria as our partner to expand this initiative to the people in Sunsuria City.

"PRG's Green Initiative features 3 stages, the first includes the installation of charging stations in various areas within Sunsuria City, a world-class satellite city built around the core of Xiamen University Malaysia. The second stage will include installing more EV charging stations at prospective locations within the Klang Valley and the final stage includes locations beyond the first and second stage, depending on the demand. Going forward, we do not discount the possibility to work with highway operators, petrol stations, mall owners, car dealers, national airports and commercial buildings for such initiative" Dato Alex added.
