Hap Seng Properties Development Sdn Bhd (Hap Seng) aims to build 3,000 affordable houses across several regions in Sabah, namely Sandakan, Tawau, Lahad Datu and Kota Kinabalu this year.

As a leading property developer in Sabah, Chief Operating Officer John Tan said the company would continue to provide affordable houses to Sabahans in line with the government's aim to promote home ownership among the people.

"We are taking the average income of Sabahans into account, as it is much lower here compared with Peninsular Malaysia, so it is important to build the houses within an affordable range" he said during the launch of the Bandar Sri Indah South Ville Apartments Sales Gallery on Tuesday, May 23, by the Sabah Local Government and Housing Assistant Minister Joachim Gunsalam.
