The Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents has introduced the Standard Operating Procedures(SOP) for estate agents as we continue to combat the spread of COVID-19. 

Together with the General Manager of Hap Seng Properties Development Sdn Bhd, Joanne Chung, MIEA under the leadership of chairwoman Rose Lai, presented the SOPs that were according to National Security Council(MKN) guidelines via video presentation. 

The two and a half minute video highlighted the preparations that should be done by estate agents before the viewings and handling the viewing of a property.

According to Rose, “It is our main responsibility as real estate agents is the need to meet, engage, negotiate and work with buyers. We want to live up to the old adage “prevention is better than cure".

Rose added that the SOP guidelines video will be used by 30,000 real estate agents nationwide.

She also reminded that as real estate practitioners it is their responsibility to protect the interest of their clients, hoping that with video they may gain the confidence and trust of each client.
