Seri Selangor Golf Club (SSGC) announced its 20th Anniversary Celebration has an unparalleled public golf club in Malaysia, on to celebrate two decades of unforgettable golf experiences.

Seri Selangor Golf Club (KGSS) nestled in Kota Damansara has the layout that brings together the beauty of the tropics and the tests of the game. Launched in 1998, wholly owned by Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS) and managed by SACC Convec Sdn. Bhd., this 18-hole, 6,464 meter, par-72; course layout has played host to the Selangor Masters since 2007.

Started to open to the public for its ultimate goal of providing affordable facilities and center of excellence golf for all walks of life, Seri Selangor Golf Club is considered to have been one of the most popular club among the golfers.

Based on the total number of golf players who have been played in this club reaching 1.2 million players since being publicly opened. According to PKNS Chief Executive Officer, Y Bhg. Datin Paduka Dr Hajjah Noraida Mohd Yusof, Seri Selangor Golf Club has managed to maintain its excellent accomplishment over 20 years with the success of several major international championships and producing golfing greats that represented Selangor and Malaysia. Shaaban Hussin, Ainil Johani Abu Bakar and Amir Nazrin Jailani were products of Seri Selangor own Junior Program.

In line with the achievement for the past 20 years, PKNS has approved a total of 10 million for the purpose of upgrading various home facilities including the club house remodeling. It is to ensure that the Seri Selangor Golf Club is able to maintain excellence and competitiveness with other clubs in Malaysia.

From the total cost of RM10 million, RM5 million was spent on the course for its buggy track, new halfway huts and course which was completed in October 2017. The 2nd phase of upgrading will involve facelifts of club facilities and amenities which scheduled to complete in 2020.

Despite all the renovation and upgrading, golfers can be assured that Seri Selangor Golf Club will maintain its objective in making Seri Selangor affordable and accessible.
