SkyWorld Development Group is set to launch projects with a gross development value (GDV) of RM2.0 billion this year, said founder and group managing director, Datuk Ng Thien Phing.
He said the projects, comprising affordable houses, high-end residential and commercial properties, would be launched in the first half of this year.
"We are going to open up Sky Meridien, The Hub, Sky Awani 3 and The Valleys. All these projects are going to be launched this year" he told a press conference after unveiling the group's RM3.8 million SkyWorld Quality Centre on Monday, 22 January.
SkyAwani 3 is an afforable housing project with a GDV of RM600 million, while The Hub is a commercial strata office. Both projects will be built in the Setapak area.
Ng said SkyWorld had a plan in place for the development of SkyAwani 4, but the project would only be launched next year.
As for the Sky Meridien, a high-end residential project, it will have 780 units of houses and is valued at having a GDV of RM497 million.
Ng said the project, situated in Bandar Baru Setapak, would likely see gross development cost (GDC) of around RM420 million.
For The Valleys, he said this 1309 unit residential project in Setiawangsa would have a GDV OF RM750 million and RM650 million GDC.
Meanwhile, the SkyWorld Quality Centre, which was officiated by the Federal Territories Minister, Datuk Seri Utama Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, is the first of its kind in Malaysia.
Ng said the Quality Centre was built to signify SkyWorld's quality pledge to purchasers and acts as a quality benchmark for all SkyWorld development.
