FIFA Standard Football Stadium to Be Built in Forest City Johor

Country Garden Pacificview, the joint venture developer of the world renowned Forest City in Johor has achieved another significant milestone as they unveil the design of the JDT Football Stadium as well as the opening of Forest City IBS (Industrial Building System) Base.

Spanning 140,000 square meters and with a total built up area of about 70,000 square meters, Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) Football Stadium can accommodate up to 40,000 spectators.

Sports in the Limelight

Rising as a part of the Forest City development, JDT Football Stadium is inspired by the banana leaf. Once built, the stadium will meet FIFA's standards, acting as the home club of the Johor Football Club - popularly known as the Southern Tigers.

Adding to the achievement is the groundbreaking ceremony of Forest City Golf Course, which is designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus and his son Jack Nicklaus II. Nicklaus is widely regarded as the greatest golfer of all time, having maintained his Grand Slam title for over 30 years.

A Livable Future

During the unveiling event, an MOU was signed with 21 strategic partners including popular brands such as Grab, Ofo bike sharing, PCCW Global and Malaysian Healthcare Tourism Council.

The Taiwan based MJ group has also welcomed its first patient in July this year with the establishment of MJ Forest City Health Screening Center providing high quality health management services.

Forest City also announced that the famed American private school Shattuck-St Mary's School will receive its first student in August 2018, offering courses from kindergarten to high school.

A lot is certainly happening on this southern tip of Johor. Construction at Forest City is well on track, with its phase 2 residential lots fully sold off. Its CEO Mr Mo Bin said that Forest City has over the last few years created over 1,400 direct job opportunities, of which 70% are local Malaysian.
