KUALA LUMPUR: ASEAN Real Estate Network Alliance (ARENA), a regional grouping of eight National real estate associations across ASEAN, will be hosting the ARENA Convention and Exhibition (ACE) 2017 from 25th - 27th August 2017 in an aim to foster greater collaboration within the regional real estate fraternity. The event hosted by the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents will be held in Kuala Lumpur for the first time, is expected to host 600 real estate practitioners from eight National real estate Associations from Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Myanmar. In view of the significance of the event and Malaysia being the chair and secretariat of ARENA, it is greatly anticipated that The Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato' Sri Haji Muhammad Najib Tun Razak will kindly accept the invitation to be the chief guest.

ARENA Convention and Exhibition (ACE'17), will be held at Berjaya Times Square and it coincides with Malaysia's 60th Independence Celebration. The organisers plan to highlight ‘The Diversity of Malaysia's 60 Years Culture and Growth of our Nation' while ‘making friends and connecting businesses', which also is the theme of the convention.

The Secretary General of ARENA and the Organising Chairman of ACE'17 Mr Soma Sundram said that "For the last 5 years, ARENA has been working hard towards unifying the real estate practitioners in ASEAN, to establish a platform to develop good real estate practices. It is the goal of the organisers that at ACE'17 all delegates will be able to learn new ideas and acquire new skills and knowledge to develop and grow their real estate business in their respective countries”.

At ACE, there will be networking opportunities where they can discuss cross-cultural practices and understand the real estate business better. Furthermore, many different real estate related topics will be discussed at the event such as ‘How to do cross-border selling', ‘Using technology as the latest real estate method to market properties', ‘Showcasing hotspots in Malaysia to attract foreign investment', ‘The performance of the regional real estate markets', and ‘How full liberalization will affect the real estate service sector', to name a few.

Since inception in 2012, ARENA has been dedicated to helping real estate practitioners in areas of networking, legislation, developing marketing strategies, training, and cooperation. However, the main agenda of ARENA is to establish a regional real estate platform and a reference centre for real estate learning and cross-border networking activities in the region.

The convention targets real estate practitioners, developers, those in real estate service sectors and investors alive to understand regional markets.
