Tsutaya, the largest retail bookstore chain in Japan, is opening its first Malaysia store in Pavilion Bukit Jalil and is expected to open in Q2 2022! This store will also be the first Tsutaya store in Southeast Asia.
Tsutaya Bukit Jalil is set to have the largest kids’ edutainment section in any bookstore in Malaysia, a place of discovery for little readers.

This section will feature over 20,000 children's book titles from over 10 genres including children’s literature, cognitive development, picture books and art books, encyclopaedias, creative handicrafts and much more.
We will also be a community space for children to discover, explore and learn. This space will dedicate a playground and low bookshelves for children.
This multi-concept bookstore will also have a dedicated section for the Tsutaya art collection, a café, merchandise and activity space, a playground, and low bookshelves for children.

The Tsutaya art collection is located on the top floor of the store and showcases work by local and international artists.
Tsutaya has 1,200 stores in Japan and nine in Taiwan and China.
The opening date for Tsutaya Bukit Jalil has not yet been announced. The bookstore posted on their Facebook page that more information will be shared when the store is ready for opening.
