EH Property Sdn Bhd launched its E-Residence project in Telipok, here, Saturday. Located strategically on a 40.45-acre site close to the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park, E -Residence will have 28 blocks of five-storey apartments comprising 1,280 units with a built-up of 1,176 sq ft, 1,029 sq ft and 1,029 sq ft.

Each block, which comes in semi-detached design with a lift, will have 40 units with a side window that allows more sunlight to penetrate.

Surrounded by greenery, E-Residence is also near to Grand Merdeka Mall, 1Borneo Hypermall, education centres (UMS, UiTM, etc) and medical centres (Tuaran Hospital, Manggatal Health Clinic, etc).

EH Property Director Pua Kai Han noted that the Sabah market is quite good and they have managed to gain another 35 per cent sales.

“We have just opened sales for our new block (Phase 1B) three days ago and the sales are still on-going. We believe there is a very strong demand,” he told a media conference.

He said currently they have developed their first three blocks which are 90 per cent sold, while the fourth block is now open for sales.

He said the other blocks will be developed based on sales. “As long as we achieve our sales, then we will open a new block.”

Also to be developed in stages is commercial units and a supermarket lot.

EH has also adopted Industrialised Building System in E-Residence in order to stay competitive in the industry as well as to promote sustainability. The launching ceremony was officiated by Deputy Chief Minister cum Minister of Trade and Industry, Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau, who was represented by his political secretary Joisin Romut.

“The Minister, who is also Tuaran MP, supports development in Tuaran in terms of housing and residential areas because we know that this place is close to the State Capital and KKIP, and of course the need for housing is important to complement the needs of industry development, among others,” said Romut.

He said the Minister is very proud of the project and hopes it will develop smoothly.

Also present was Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (Shareda), Chew Sang Hai, Tuaran District Officer Mohd Sofian Alfian Nair, and KKIP Chief Executive Officer, Melvin Disimond, among others.
