Give Chance to GPS to Develop Sarawak

Sarawak's biggest ever development budget of RM11 billion has been allocated under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

To perform and complete all works that have been planned and implemented, Sarawakians are urged to give Gabungan Parti Sarawak the chance to bring positive changes to the political and economic landscape of Sarawak.

"The people must give their cooperation to the government to carry out all the development projects, so that the federal government will know that the budget has been used accordingly to develop the state," Minister of Utilities Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi said at a meet-the-people session at the residence of a political secretary to chief minister Michael Mujah Lihan at Taman Kemena Raya.

Dr Rundi, who is also Kemena assemblyman, said the Sarawak government had also approved RM40 million for the perimeter survey of native customary rights (NCR) land in Sarawak.

"Barisan Nasional was defeated in the 14th general election. We are more independent now since leaving the BN camp. We have the freedom to fight for our rights through GPS. When we were under BN we had little freedom to do things."

Dr Rundi also reminded the people, especially the Dayaks, to give high priority to the education of their children because that's the only way out for them to improve their standard of living.
