Traffic between Kuching and Sri Aman came to standstill after a section of the Pan-Borneo Highway near the Pantu Bazaar caved in on Friday (Dec 28) morning.
Both sections of the highway at KM53 have been closed after the 4.20am cave-in that led to a lorry being trapped after it ran into the sinkhole.
"Both sides of the route have been closed for now. Traffic flow from both directions cannot pass," said Sarawak Fire and Rescue personnel at the scene.
