The Global Liveability Index 2018 from the Economist Intelligence Unit finds Sydney has risen in the liveability rankings and is listed as top five most liveable city in the global list.

The concept of liveability assesses living conditions worldwide across five broad categories including stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure. The annual survey considers more than 30 qualitative and quantitative factors and 140 cities around the world are assigned a score respectively.

In this report Sydney's overall score is 97.4 and ranks number 5 out of 140 cities globally. Sydney scores a perfect 100 for healthcare, education and infrastructure, and achieves 95 for stability and 94.4 for culture and environment.

While Australia's global city Sydney is among the world's most liveable, Crown Group Chairman and Group CEO Iwan Sunito said their vision is to draw up creative and innovative ideas in this globalized city to make it more liveable in the near future.
