Bank Negara Malaysia's international reserves amounted to US$104.5 billion as at July 31 this year.
This was a marginal 0.096 percent lower than the US$104.6 billion it registered on July 13.
In a statement today, Bank Negara said the reserves position was sufficient to finance 7.5 months of retained imports and was 1.1 times the short-term external debt.
Foreign currency was the biggest chunk of reserves amounted to (US$98.2 billion), International Monetary Fund reserves position (US$900 million), Special Drawing Rights (US$1.2 billion), gold (US$1.5 billion) and other reserve assets (US$2.7 billion).
Meanwhile, Bank Negara's total assets stood at RM450.097 billion as at July 31.
