SP Setia Wins 3 Golds at FIABCI Awards

Property developer SP Setia won three gold awards at FIABCI World Prix d'Excellence Awards 2018 held in Dubai recently.

SP Setia picked up awards in the Affordable Housing Category for the Seri Kasturi Apartment project in Setia Alam, the Master Plan Category for the Setia Eco Glades project in Cyberjaya, and Sustainable Development Category for the Eco Sanctuary project in Singapore.

The awards ceremony was attended by 400 property developers from around the world.

Also present was World FIABCI President Farook Mahmood from India, FIABCI World Prix d'Excellence Awards committee president Profesor Chen Ming Cheu from Taiwan, FIABCI World President Eléct Assen Makedonov from Bulgaria, World FIABCI Vice President Walid Moussa from Lebanon and others.

A total of 27 awards were presented including 14 Gold and 13 Silver Awards won by property developers from Taiwan, Malaysia, Hungary, Germany, Indonesia, Singapore Vietnam, China and Russia.

Other Malaysian developers who won Gold included Mangala Resort and Spa for the Environmental (Rehabilitation/Conservation) Category by Farm Resort (Gambang) Sdn Bhd; Eco Business Park 1 in Industrial Category by Ecoworld Development Group Bhd; Socso Tun Razak Rehabilitation Centre in Purpose Built Category by Anuar Aziz Architect; and 16 Quartz in Residential (Low Rise) Category by Mitraland Group.

Malaysian developers based overseas who won Gold Awards included Gamuda City for the Yen So Sewage Treatment in Vietnam under Environmental (Rehabilitation/Conservation) Category. Singapore-based Selangor Dredging Bhd won Silver for Hijauan On Cavenagh in the Residential (Mid Rise) Category. Malaysian property developers have proven that their developments are on par with international counterparts.
