Agoda Study Finds Large Preference for Domestic Travel
KUALA LUMPUR: About 75 per cent of Malaysians are keen to travel for holidays within the country, a study found. Agoda is a popular online accommodation booking portal.
Agoda's Global Director for Brand and Communication, Andrew Edwards, said "A vacation in your own city is a great opportunity to discover what foreign tourists love about where you live â€“ but without the jet-lag, language difficulties and general disorientation" according to the Agoda Travel and Tech study.
Agoda booking data shows nine out of the ten most popular year-end destinations for Malaysians travelers in 2016 were within their home country.
