MoA Signed, CSCEC Engaged to Build Jesselton Twin Towers

Jesselton Twin Towers touted to be the tallest twin tower in Borneo will be built in Kota Kinabalu.

Jesselton Group signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with China State Construction Enginnering at Beijing, China on Wednesday, 18 October. Its mother corporation, China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) is the third largest corporation in the world.

Jesselton Group is a renowned developer in Sabah, headed by Tan Sri Datuk David Chu. Its maiden project is the recently completed Jesselton Residences, which is currently the tallest building in Kota Kinabalu Central Business District (CBD).

The MoA is signed for CSCEC to design and build Jesselton Twin Towers at RM410million for 40 months upon its commencement. Tan Sri believes CSCEC with its experienced design and construction team internationally can achieve better results in a shorter construction period.

Jesselton Twin Towers comprises of two blocks of 56-storey buildings which house 819 high-end condominium units. Located strategically in Damai along Jalan Bersatu, the existing 1-way lane will be upgraded to a dual carriage way (in & out) upon its completion for the convenience of the homeowners. This will serve as the main road linking Jalan Lintas and Jalan Damai together without going through Foh Sang, Jalan Kolam during the peak hours.

The signing between Tan Sri David, Executive Chairman of Jesselton Group and Lyu En, CSCEC Managing Director was witnessed by Huang Kesi, CSCEC Chairman, Wu Jianguo, General Manager of CSCEC and SHAREDA councils Chew Sang Hai, Datuk Sr. Chua Soon Ping, Wesley Chai, Quek Siew Hau, Ronnie Ang and Kah Jen Foh.
