Property Hunter Signs MOU With SHAREDA

Property Hunter (PH) signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (SHAREDA) to become the Official Media Partner for the association. The collaboration will see both parties joining hands to promote the real estate industry in Sabah.

SHAREDA, one of the most influential business associations in Sabah, is the key driving force behind the development of the state. Property development has a profound impact affecting more than 165 related industries, supply chains and employment sectors.

Property Hunter, on the other hand, is the largest property media company in East Malaysia. The homegrown brand consists of cross-media platforms such as a bi-monthly magazine, a web portal and mobile app for news and property listings, as well as a property gallery in Imago Shopping Mall. The company also organises a series of property exhibitions and roadshows namely PH Expo and PIHex.

One of Property Hunter's key strengths lies in its media coverage both online and in print. They strive to deliver quality content and educate the public about property-related news and knowledge in property investment. In line with SHAREDA's vision to empower property buyers with knowledge, Property Hunter will work with the association to disseminate accurate and timely property news and information to the public.

The MOU also seals the partnership between the two in organising large-scale property exhibitions in Sabah. SHAREDA will continue to organise PropEX in the second half of the year, one of the longest running property exhibition in the state. Property Hunter, on the other hand, will introduce a whole new exhibition and convention experience in April 2018.

Setting foot in the KK International Convention Centre Both parties have also agreed to form a task force to liaise with Yayasan Sabah on the utilization of the Kota Kinabalu International Convention Centre (KKICC) to explore innovative ways of executing events and to deliver better value to event goers.

The convention centre which is expected to be completed by end of 2018 will be a catalyst for change in the MICE industry, bringing positive impact to the local economy. SHAREDA and Property Hunter are looking forward to hosting their future events in the purpose-built venue.

With the signing of the MOU, both parties look to create a mutually beneficial working relationship and further strengthen ties with members to grow the real estate segment, create a more open and accessible property market for the public and to keep everyone updated on the latest happenings of the property industry.

Director of Property Hunter, Michael Hiew commented the MOU further strengthens the relationship between the two parties. "We are committed to empower the public with a wealth of property investment knowledge, so to assist them in their decision-making process."

"SHAREDA's collaboration with Property Hunter is strategic, we can promote our members' projects through their media channel, at the same time educating the public with the right property buying message," said Mr Chew Sang Hai, President of SHAREDA.

The MOU was signed at the opening ceremony of PropEX 2017 here in Sabah Trade Centre. The annual property exhibition organised by SHAREDA runs from 28 Sept - 1 Oct showcasing projects from local developers as well as the peninsula.
