Hap Seng Properties Development Sn Bhd launched 1,024 units of Bandar Sri Indah (BSI) South Ville Apartments in Tawau on Tuesday, May 23, with prices starting from RM200,000 for 3-bedroom units.

The company will provide a subsidy of RM30,000 for first-home buyers in line with the government's aim to ensure that everyone is able to own a home at an affordable price.

The Group is also offering an exclusive promotion package amounting to RM20,000 for each unit.

The launching ceremony was officiated by Assistant Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam, who was representing minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Haji Noor.

Joachim hopes the exemption of the cabotage policy will decrease the housing prices in Sabah.

When asked to comment on the Villa Sri Indah Apartment project, Joachim said the construction of the project has met the government's brief of providing low-cost housing for the people.

"We are very grateful to the Hap Seng Properties Development Sdn Bhd that has built 1,024 three-bedroom apartment units in Tawau with the selling price of RM200,000 each" he said.

Chief Operating Officer of Hap Seng Properties Development, John Tan, took the opportunity to disclose the residents at Bandar Sri Indah will be able to enjoy a host of amenities which include the long haul distance bus terminal, petrol station, new water reservoir, recreational facilities and more.

Hap Seng is also set to launch a loyalty program for existing buyers as a token of appreciation, by offering attractive packages for upgrading of their property of investing in additional properties with the Group.

The incentives include up to 2% price reduction of the property value. Loyalty members would also offered incentive schemes to be an ambassador of Hap Seng by introducing new purchasers to invest with them.

John said this scheme is a sign of the Group's confidence in the people of Tawau and in their confidence in Hap Seng.
