The KK High Court recently ordered the developer and manager of Colonnade Properties Sdn Bhd and Colonnade Management Sdn Bhd to provide residents with a complete set of financial documents and information related to the management of the development known as the Colonnades for the financial years of 2010 up until the date of the court order.

Residents have filed a suit in the High Court through their lawyers from Messrs. Leong & Wong, Shelley Yap to compel Colonnade Properties Sdn Bhd, within 28 days from the date of the court order to show them the general ledgers, payment vouchers, receipts, journal vouchers, a complete list of all service charges and similar contributions outstanding from every unit in the development known as the Colonnades as at the end of each financial year.

All documents made available and photocopied and given to the plaintiffs shall be recorded and acknowledged who shall be present during the process by both parties which shall include complete list of all service charges and similar contributions collected from every unit in the development in each financial year, and a complete list of all sums owing to any third parties as at the end of each financial year.

One of the earliest residential higher end condominium living projects - Colonnade Condominiums at Harrington Road (opposite the old folks home now the Sabah Museum heritage houses site) still holds its value appreciated over a few decades with fairly good maintenance by local standard.
