IJM Land Launches “Beli Rumah, Jom Umrah” Campaign

IJM Land Bhd officially unveiled its "Beli Rumah, Jom Umrah” campaign, where Bumiputeras can purchase IJM homes in Seremban and receive an all-inclusive Umrah trip for two worth RM22,000, as reported in TheEdgeProperty.com.my.

"We launched this campaign last month and it will be ending on July 31 this year. For every IJM's bumiputera unit in Seremban purchased, we will be offering an all-expense paid trip for 12 days to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, for two people" said IJM Land centre region senior general manager Hoo Kim See at the campaign's official launch today.

He said projects under this campaign are Bandar Seremban 2, and Seremban 2 Heights or Seri Binjai at Rahang Seremban.

The type of properties on sale under this campaign include 20ft by 70ft 2-storey linked homes priced from RM488,110, 22ft by 70ft linked homes priced from RM558,410, 24ft by 80ft super-linked homes priced from RM661,010, as well as 2-storey semi-detached homes priced from RM925,110.

IJM Land is also offering an accessible ownership package to assist buyers to own a home that includes low down payment, a zero-interest instalment plan of up to 36 months payable via credit card, free subscription to IJM Land's recreational S2 Club for two years, and a subsidy for legal documentation charges.

"Buying a home is a big investment in life that needs careful financial planning, whereas to be able to perform Umrah is definitely a privilege of a lifetime and can bring great rewards to the pilgrims. We don't want them to have to choose their priorities, we want our buyers to realise two of the most important things in life" Hoo said.

The developer is partnering with Andalusia Travel & Tour, one of Malaysia's biggest Muslim tourism agencies, for this campaign.

The agency's managing director Ibrahim Mat Sin said this partnership is a win-win situation, where both parties can boost their sales.

"Not all [Muslim] bumiputeras have the chance to go for their Umrah trip, especially after they have a house. This is why I think it is a good campaign that can kill two birds with one stone" Ibrahim noted.

He added that the 12-day trip will include flight tickets, accommodation at Hilton Towers Mecca for six nights and Mawaddah al Waha/Mawaddah al Huda in Madinah for four nights, ground transport and international buffets.

Hoo also said those who want to buy a home but may not be ready to go for Umrah, or have already done so, can transfer this package as a gift to their parents.

He targets to sell 50 units within the campaign period. "We received very good response in the first month after we launched this. We hope we can achieve higher than 50 units" he said.
